This is day #1 of the unending project!

I had a thirteen pound albino bunny named Legs who was an inspiration for this composition.

The paper feels substantial, it is thick with gesso and paint compared with the majority of the daily pieces that followed which are strictly powdered graphite on paper. On January 1, 2016, I lived in West Philadelphia and had a studio in the Kingsessing neighborhood. There was little heat and the place would leak when it rained. The windows were sealed shut so I busted out one of the acrylic window panels for ventilation. I can almost feel the chilled winter air in the building when I recall the making of this one.
